TERMS & CONDITIONS
You confirm that all Your given information is up to date and fully accurate. You understand that if there is any change to Your personal or therapeutic situation, You will inform The Bridge Retreat’s facilitators immediately. Failure to do this could result in being asked to leave the retreat.
You understand that The Bridge Retreat is a six-day intense experiential programme based on psychological, anthropological, holistic and spiritual principles that may or may not benefit Your personal growth (the “Services”). You agree to take responsibility for Your full participation in the retreat.
You accept that The Bridge Retreat and their facilitators are not all licensed psychotherapists or psychologists.
You understand that the retreat involves physical contact, (E.g. hugging and holding). If You do not consent to this, You will inform a facilitator beforehand.
You agree to respect total confidentiality of each participant on The Bridge Retreat, including their comments, shares and experiences and You agree to keep all such information to yourself. You will not disclose other participants by name, description or other information that would breach their anonymity. You also accept that photography, video and sound recordings are not permitted at the retreat venue (the “Property”) for the duration of the six-day retreat experience.
You acknowledge that Your participation in the retreat is at Your own risk, but nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude The Bridge Retreat’s liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence; or
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
You acknowledge that The Bridge Retreat accepts no liability for loss, damage or illnesses which may be received during Your stay at the retreat. You agree that this release will also bind any family members and/or personal representatives.
You accept full liability for any loss, damage and breakages caused by You at the Property and will report any incidents to The Bridge Retreat immediately. You agree to compensate the retreat venue directly for any loss, damage or breakages caused.
The Bridge Retreat reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the retreat if they are in breach of the Ground Rules or these Terms and Conditions, without financial reimbursement.
On commencement of the retreat if it is deemed that it is in the interest of the participant and/or the interest & safety of the group then we have the right to ask a person to leave before completing the full six-day experience. In this instance partial fees may be refunded.
You agree to indemnify The Bridge Retreat and their staff for any liability and cost which may occur as a result of any breach of these Terms. Furthermore, The Bridge Retreat will not be liable for any other direct and indirect loss, cost or expense of any nature, however caused.
The costs and expenses shall be set out in your order for Services (the “Price”), and shall be payable:
a. (a) 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the Services; or
b. (b) the day the order for Services is made if the Commencement Date is less than 6 weeks’ away; or
c. (c) in instalments, to be agreed between the parties on a case by case basis.
All payments to be made shall be in cleared funds, without deduction or set off and in pounds sterling.
The Price is inclusive of any Value Added Tax.
If any sum due to The Bridge Retreat is not paid in full within 30 days of invoice date, The Bridge Retreat shall be entitled to charge interest at 4% per annum on any amounts outstanding.
A non-refundable deposit of £500 is due upon registration.
Any additional days will be charged as daily rate.
You may cancel these Terms at any time prior to the commencement of the Service (the “Commencement Date”) by notice in writing to corinne@thebridge (the “Cancellation Notice”). Once a Cancellation Notice is submitted it may not be revoked and a cancellation charge shall be payable to The Bridge Retreat as set out below:
• 25% of the Price if cancelled less than two calendar months prior to the Commencement Date; or
• 50% of the Price if cancelled less than one calendar month prior to the Commencement Date; or
• 100% of the Price if cancelled less than two weeks prior to the Commencement Date.
You acknowledge that the Cancellation Fees are fair and reasonable. The Bridge Retreat will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by you e.g. travel, accommodation and we strongly recommend you explore personal insurance options.
The Cancellation Fees are payable immediately on demand and The Bridge Retreat has the right to apply any monies received by You in advance of the Commencement Date against such Cancellation Fees.
Any written request made by You to amend the Commencement Date shall be treated as a cancellation and subject to the Cancellation Fees. Nevertheless, upon receiving written notice to amend the Commencement Date, The Bridge Retreat reserves its right to grant an amendment without charging the Cancellation Fees, subject to confirming the same in writing to You.
The Bridge Retreat may terminate these Terms at any time before the Service, providing You with at least 4 weeks’ notice and a full refund of any monies advanced by You prior to the Commencement Date.
If You are declared bankrupt or otherwise cease to make payments, The Bridge Retreat have a right to terminate this Agreement with immediate effect upon written notice to You.
All complaints must be notified to The Bridge Retreat as soon as reasonably practicable. If The Bridge Retreat are prevented by You or Your representatives from investigating the complaint within a reasonable time, then You agree to waive all your rights in respect of such claim.
Any variation to these Terms must be expressly agreed by The Bridge Retreat and You in writing.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
